Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)
hosts 50th State Leadership Conference!
On April 3-5, 2012, over 1,400 high school students, teachers, business members and community leaders from all across Arizona convened at the Westin La Paloma in Tucson, AZ for the 50th Annual FBLA Arizona State Leadership Conference. Nearly $10,000 in scholarship money was awarded and students competed in over 50 different types of competitions relating to business, management, accounting, computer programming and entrepreneurship. Keynote speaker Eddie Slowikowski fired up the conference during the opening session and former FBLA member and current Executive Director of the Arizona Department of Education – Office of Communications and Innovation, Ryan Ducharme, brought greetings at the awards session. The top winners in each event will now advance to the FBLA National Leadership in San Antonio, TX on June 27 – July 3 to compete against 9,000 other FBLA students from all over the US.
