Classroom Management

In this course teachers will enhance classroom management skills by developing rules, procedures and routines
that are aligned to their content and environment. We will consider the philosophy of “Discipline with Dignity” to
ensure that you possess discipline strategies that are highly effective without escalating disruptive student
behavior. Participants will evaluate how a course syllabus serves as a powerful communication tool between
teacher and students and leave with a draft that defines procedures, routines, classroom rules and consequences.
This course is part of the Premier Series of “Professional Knowledge” courses is designed for
Provisionally Certified CTE Teachers to earn a Standard CTE Teaching Certificate. Participants who participate in
the course and who complete the follow-up assignments will have the opportunity to earn 15 CEU hours approved
by ADE. Participants can ask for the ADE certificate that equals ONE credit hour toward CTE certification for
attending one day training 8:30am-4:30pm and submitting the 8 hour homework assignment.
