NOTE: Registration for this Premier Series class will close October 23rd, 2024. A PO must be received before you can attend the class.
Course Description:
This course will support teachers’ continuing development as outstanding teachers for CTE programs by examining their personal educational philosophy, instructional design, and methodology.
Three major components comprise the course:
- Examining Beliefs about Learning: Developing your own personal philosophy about learning.
- Motivating Adolescent Learners – Designing a classroom that is especially effective for high school student.
- Ring of Fire – active participation strategies to use every day in your classroom. Instruction models active participation strategies and major components that are especially effective with adolescents.
Each participant will receive their own “Ring of Fire” to utilize in their classroom.
Location: Yavapai College CTED 220 Ruger Rd. Prescott, AZ 86301. (It’s a single building with a large parking lot. Main entrance is on the side of the building.)
Cost: $100 per participant
Lunch will be provided by MICTED. There is also an on site vending machine system and refrigerator available for anyone who wants to pack a lunch.
