ACOVA always has a representative at our ACTEAZ Meetings. This year our ACOVA representative was Craig Lunt, and he attended all the ACTEAZ board meetings, and we appreciated his leadership and contributions.
ACOVA has demonstrated continuous service and support of ACTEAZ and CTE. ACTEAZ and ACOVA have a partnership since 2002 hosting the Mid-Winter Leadership Conference at the Prescott Resort and Conference Center. This has been an extremely solid partnership and we look forward to this conference each year.
ACOVA also sits on many of the same Boards that ACTEAZ serves so we get to communicate often. ACOVA Board Members serve within the following organizations: ADE Quality Skills Commission, CTED Superintendents, AZ CTE Curriculum Consortium and CTE Leads.
ACOVA also hosted five sessions during ACTEAZ’s first Virtual Conference in March 2021. ACOVA is represented at NCLA and ACTE National Events. ACOVA is also hosting conferences this year for the Summer Conference that are Virtual in July. ACOVA hosts multiple sessions at the ACTE Summer Conference in Tucson when in person.
ACOVA Board uses best practices for their quarterly business meetings. ACOVA provides a website of information for their members. There is strong communication between ACOVA and its members thru its website, monthly ACOVA updates, newsletters and “Keeping You in the Know” and virtual office hours. The ACOVA Board is always available to assist and be a resource to local directors and their members.
The ACOVA Board works closely with the Arizona Department of Education, and they are invited to participate in the ACOVA Board Meetings. That strong partnership is crucial to helping members statewide.
ACOVA and ACTEAZ partnership is a conduit to share information and serve the members of both associations and Career Technical Education statewide.
Congratulations to ACOVA again for receiving this award multiple times for their partnership and leadership.
