ACTEAZ Wins the Quality Assoc. Award
Submitted by Pam Ferguson
The Association of Career Technical Education of Arizona is proud to report to our members that this is the 19th Straight Year that Arizona has received the ACTE Quality Association Award since its inception in 2001. The mission of the Association for Career and Technical Education is to provide educational leadership in developing a competitive workforce.
The purpose of the Quality Association Standards (QAS) is to provide benchmarks for state associations to determine levels of performance and satisfactory service to their members and prospective members. QAS should be useful to states in evaluating their basic organization and whether their leadership is providing minimum, average or superior programs for the membership. There were nine areas of categories that the association had to achieve.
The hope of the QAS is to prompt states to challenge themselves to improve and maintain the very best possible organization and leadership for their members within the association’s means. ACTE is committed to assisting state leadership in reaching Association goals. The following were in attendance at the Quality Association State Breakfast in Anaheim when Arizona received the award – Lisa Doll, Shelly York, Jennifer Brooks, Rahsaan Bartet, Tammy Bonner, Lori Luzier, Bob Weir, Cathie Raymond, Lindsay Duran and Pam Ferguson.
Thanks to all Members for their professional contributions to ACTEAZ!
