We have all worked hard together to continue the growth, development and success of Career and Technical Education here in Arizona. During the Region V conference in Rapid City, SD earlier this month, that effort was recognized.
Arizona presented two sessions that received outstanding reviews:
- “Transforming a Community: The College and Career Academies at Sunnyside USD”- Kathy Prather
- “Resilience is Imperative in Leadership” Region V Fellows and Mary Anne Berens, Fellows Coordinator
We also won the following awards:
- Region V Teacher of the Year – Sharon Metzger, Chandler Unified School District
- Region V Counselor of the Year – Jan Fellow, Dysart Unified School District
- Region V Hall of Fame Award – Pam Ferguson, ACTEAZ Executive Director
- Arizona Innovative Program of the Year – Jason McCutcheon, Bisbee Unified School District
- Region V Publication Awards – Website and Brochure, ACTEAZ
Congratulations once again to the Award Winners and to all of you for your hard work. With our continued collaboration I have no doubt that Arizona CTE will continue its momentum of success.
